Dar\u00fcber hinaus habe ich eine gesunde 17-j\u00e4hrige Tochter gro\u00dfgezogen und bin seit 25 Jahren mit einem au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen Ehemann verheiratet, der mich \u00fcber alles liebt!  Au\u00dferdem arbeite ich seit 22 Jahren als Freizeitleiterin in Vermonts einzigem 5-Sterne-Resort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wie hat LGMD Sie zu der Person gemacht, die Sie heute sind?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ich habe eine positive Einstellung und bleibe gesund und gl\u00fccklich, egal was passiert.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Was m\u00f6chten Sie der Welt \u00fcber LGMD mitteilen?<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Ich m\u00f6chte allen sagen, dass ich immer noch dieselbe Brenda bin, die bei jeder sich bietenden Gelegenheit tanzte und am Sandstrand der Gay Head Cliffs in Martha's Vineyard Rad schlug und R\u00fcckw\u00e4rtsbeugen machte.  Sie war die erste, die auf Wasserskiern Slalom fuhr, die erste, die Abfahrts-, Langlauf- und Telemarkski fuhr und die erste, die in den Alpen in Europa Ski fuhr.  Der Erste, der die Headwall am Mt. Washington, Tuckerman's Ravine, befahren hat.  Derjenige, der 30 Jahre lang alle schwarzen und doppelt schwarzen Diamantpisten im Killington Ski Resort in Vermont, einschlie\u00dflich aller Waldpisten, befahren hat.  Ich werde nie zulassen, dass diese Krankheit mich zu einem bettl\u00e4gerigen Zustand macht.  Dr. Anthony Amato sagte mir mit 50 Jahren, als ich diagnostiziert wurde, ein \"gutes, langes Leben\" voraus.  Ich m\u00f6chte die Welt wissen lassen, dass jemand mit einer Behinderung genau wie Sie ist!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wenn Ihre LGMD morgen \"geheilt\" werden k\u00f6nnte, was w\u00fcrden Sie als Erstes tun wollen?<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Mit meinem Mann tanzen, ohne zu erm\u00fcden.  Mit perfekten Schw\u00fcngen die Tiefschneepisten hinunterfahren.  An einem Sandstrand spazieren gehen, ohne zu erm\u00fcden.  Wieder in einem guten Tempo wandern, ohne dass die Gelenke schmerzen oder das Handgelenk nachgibt.  Mit den Damen Rad fahren und mithalten k\u00f6nnen.
