Ich wurde durch einen Zufall diagnostiziert. Ich war mit einer Kirchengruppe Skifahren gegangen und hatte mir dabei das Bein gebrochen.  Als ich wegen meines gebrochenen Beins in die Notaufnahme des Krankenhauses kam, stellte ein Arzt fest, dass ich nicht so stark war, wie ich in diesem Alter h\u00e4tte sein sollen.  Das f\u00fchrte zu einer Muskelbiopsie.  Urspr\u00fcnglich wurde bei mir Morbus Becker diagnostiziert, das war alles vor den DNA-Tests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Haben Sie andere Familienmitglieder, die LGMD haben? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nein, ich bin der Einzige.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Was sind f\u00fcr Sie die gr\u00f6\u00dften Herausforderungen im Leben mit LGMD?<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Herausforderung f\u00fcr mich ist, dass ich mein 7 Monate altes Kind nicht ohne Hilfe halten kann. Ich muss mich st\u00e4ndig f\u00fcr mich selbst einsetzen, wenn es um diesen Zustand geht.  Ich habe nie bemerkt, wie viele Menschen eine \"ableistische\" Einstellung haben. Das letzte Problem f\u00fcr mich ist, dass ich Freunde und Familie nicht frei besuchen kann.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Was ist Ihre gr\u00f6\u00dfte Errungenschaft?<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Ich habe so viele Errungenschaften, aber wenn ich nur eine ausw\u00e4hlen k\u00f6nnte, w\u00fcrde ich sagen, dass ich mich aus der Sozialhilfe herausgearbeitet habe. Nach meiner Diagnose hatte ich die Hoffnung aufgegeben, jemals einen Job, ein Auto, ein Haus, eine eigene Familie usw. zu haben. Heute bin ich Disponentin bei der Staatspolizei, ich fahre Auto, habe eine wunderbare Familie, bin gerade dabei, mein erstes Haus zu kaufen, und ich bin optimistisch, dass Gott, wenn die Zeit kommt und ich k\u00f6rperlich nicht mehr in der Lage bin, den Job zu machen, den ich habe, mir eine neue Chance geben wird.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wie hat LGMD Sie zu der Person gemacht, die Sie heute sind? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LGMD hat mich gelehrt, wie ich f\u00fcr meine Ziele k\u00e4mpfen kann.  Es hat mich gelehrt, dass ich nie so eingeschr\u00e4nkt bin, wie ich vielleicht denke.
